MTV Music Awards
Well MTV has proved again that the music industry is in a poor state of affairs. When they released the nominations for "Best Act Ever". The nominations are Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Green Day, Rick Astley, Tokio Hotel and U2.
When you ask me the question, best Act ever, means names like Queen, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd and other acts that 1000s of people love and enjoy the music of. Then when you think of a more broader veiw not just the music I like there is still 100s of acts that would be placed above them a small sample would be The Beatles, Elvis Presely or Michael "Kiddy Fiddler" Jackson who sold more then 500 million records each but non are on the list for best ever artist.
I could rant for pages of how crap this is but I dont think I really need to tell you as if you're reading this your probably already thinking how shit MTV are.
It would be nice to have people posting what they would put as their best act ever you never know, you may all say Green Day and I'll be left looking like a tit again.

With any award ceremony its just a big circle jerk for the industry,
What did you expect from MTV? On there tv channel its either pop tarts churning out shitty disney'esque crap or rappers shouting about there hoes, guns and how big there cocks are,
If you want to see proper musicians then MTV is not the place to look.
